The Walk for Life Foundation is developing the “Scarves for Life” project, supported by LA Caixa Foundation, which provides people affected by breast cancer with a free scarf that adapts to the oncological process.
One of the most frequent side effects of cancer treatment is hair loss, leading to a significant impact on the patient’s psychological and emotional health, along with a hypersensitivity reaction in the scalp caused by the lack of hair.
The “Scarves of life” are available in a variety of fabrics, which may be thinner or thicker depending on the patient’s sensitivity and come in a variety of colours and designs adapted to the season of the year. They even have sun protection for the summertime and more protection against cold and rain in winter.
