After a record number of donations at the last Walk for Life, the Foundation has decided to double the funds to support research projects in 2024

With a contribution of 10,000 euros, the Foundation is strengthening its commitment to the CONTIGO Foundation and its studies on metastatic triple-negative breast cancer, a collaboration promoted by our Hilda Siverio and which has a special meaning for the Carrera por la Vida Foundation.

After years of close partnership with the FERO Foundation, it was decided to increase the contribution to 10,000 euros for the study to improve immunotherapy in breast cancer and to find biomarkers to identify which breast cancer patients are suitable candidates to obtain greater benefits from immunotherapy.

For the first time, and as the start of a close and stable commitment over time, the Carrera por la Vida Foundation has decided to make a contribution of 5,000 euros to the INVI Association of Male Cancer Patients, which will allocate this amount to the ARDERNE study through GEICAM (The Spanish Breast Cancer Research Group), which is unique in Spain and aims to analyze the situation and characteristics of the male population with breast cancer and improve its diagnosis and treatment.

With this increase in the economic resources allocated to research, the Fundación Carrera por la Vida emphasises the importance of the work carried out by researchers and their teams, and calls for greater institutional support, since innovation and the effectiveness of medicines and treatments depend on it.
